After surrendering the first four runs of the game in the second inning, Swarthmore clawed its way back with three in the top of the third frame. Senior

With Lim and Burnett on second and third, Ruxin knocked a single to center to bring Burnett home and tie the game. Unfortunately, a costly fielding error with two outs in the bottom of the frame allowed Muhlenberg to regain the lead and the Mules added an insurance run in the eighth frame.
