With senior
Matt Bertuch in control on the mound, the Garnet would take their first lead of the game in the top of the ninth by once again doing all of the damage with two outs. Junior

Senior Ryan Kramer of Dickinson suffered the loss despite fanning 11 and not issuing a walk in nine innings. He yielded three runs, including two earned, and seven hits.
The Garnet found themselves down 3-1 after six innings in the nightcap, but they once again fought back and knotted things up by scoring twice in the top of the seventh.
