Jonathan Cohen, the Swarthmore men's lacrosse team fell to #16 Gettysburg by a 14-5 decision on Saturday, Apr. 5 at Shirk Field.
The Garnet held a 9-8 edge in shots attempted in the first quarter, but the Bullets found of the back of the net twice to go ahead 2-0. Senior Henry Tesar and sophomore Jameson Smith each scored to put the hosts ahead.

Gettysburg (7-3, CC 3-0), however, stormed ahead by netting five goals in a row between the second and third quarters. Five different players scored to pace the balanced attack, while senior Martin Manilla most notably contributed a goal and an assist for two of his game-high six points during the stretch that gave the Bullets a 9-2 cushion to work with and more than enough insurance.
The Bullets had a slight 35-30 edge in total shots and a 39-24 advantage in ground balls. Faceoffs were even at 11 apiece.
Swarthmore (4-6, CC 1-2), which had its two-game winning streak snapped, returns home to host McDaniel on Wednesday, Apr. 9 at 7 p.m.
