Swarthmore (5-10, 2-6 CC) - with a 23-19 shots on goal advantage - used a five-goal second period to secure its second conference victory of the season. Freshman
Stephen Ducey was credited with his first collegiate goal to open the second period string at 13:54, unassisted. The Fords responded two minutes later to tie the game at 3-all with 11:48 in the half. Haverford continued to pressure, but Cohen made two of his 14 saves to keep the score even.
Entering the final eight minutes of the half, the Garnet scored four unanswered goals beginning with an unassisted tally from Conway. Preiser then fed passes on the next three goals to finish with 28 assists on the season - eighth-best mark in the single-season program record book and second in the conference.
Sophomore
Mike Selverian finished with a game-high six ground balls and won 8-of-12 faceoffs. Carabases matched a career-high four caused turnovers and added four ground balls in the effort.
Haverford (1-13, 0-8 CC) would score twice in the third to finalize all scoring in the game.
