HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Swarthmore College golf team claimed fourth place at the 2013 Centennial Conference Men's Golf Championships from the Blue Ridge Country Club, shooting 317 in final round and combining for 942 over three rounds.
For the third consecutive day, junior Price Ferchill had the low round for the Garnet, shooting 78. His three-day total of 232 was tied for sixth overall, just one place off of First Team All-Centennial honors.
Junior Sam White was the Garnet's second-best finisher at the Championships, placing 13th overall with a three-day total of 236. He was followed by junior Jeff Wall (238 / 23rd), sophomore Andrew Park (241 / 24th) and junior Kyle Knapp (242 / 25th). Knapp posted Swarthmore's second-best final round with a 79.
On the women's side, sophomore Amanda Beebe shot a 94 in the final round of the 2013 Centennial Conference Women's Golf Championships. Her two-day total of 187 was good for 17th place.
McDaniel claimed the men's championships with a score of 918. The Green Terror's James Lillie won the individual championship with a championship-record 219. Gettysburg took the women's championship (677) behind Kara McNutly's championship-winning 161.
