EWING TOWNSHIP, N.J. – In the final meet before Centennial Conference championships, the Swarthmore College women's track and field team were back in action at TCNJ's Lion Invitational on Saturday.
Sophomore Osazenoriuwa Ebose picked up a first place finish in the shot put (12.88m, 42' 3.25") and threw a career-best discus for sixth place (39.66m, 130' 1.00"). The mark also broke the school record previously set by Ebose last week.
The day started off well for sophomore Zoe Cina-Sklar in the 5,000-meter as she matched her person record in the event finishing at 19:59.22.
For the 1,500-meter, freshman Katie McMenamin (8th, 4:46.89) and senior Becky Painter (14th, 4:50.09) each finished with personal-best marks. With McMenamin's time, she enters the program's top-10 performance list.
In the field, junior Katie Lytle bettered her javelin throw by covering 29.98 meters (98' 4.00") for 14th place overall. Her mark also enters the program's top performance list.
Swarthmore will meet conference foes for the outdoor championship beginning May 3 at Ursinus College.
