NEW YORK – The Swarthmore College women's track and field team competed at the Lafayette/Rider Winter Games Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Finishing third overall, senior Rebecca Hammond secured an ECAC-qualifying spot after clocking 2:17.36 in the 800-meter run.
Freshman Katie McMenamin ran a 5:13.94 mile to finish in sixth-place and senior Becky Painter paced the 3,000-meter in 10:26.56 for fourth-place and is just shy of her personal-best mark.
Swarthmore will return to competition on February 15th at the Keogh Invitational held at Haverford College.
