HAVERFORD, Pa. – In the final meet before the Centennial Conference championships, the Swarthmore College men's track and field team competed in the Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College on Friday.
Jason Heo tied the program's best 60-meter dash and 60-meter high hurdles mark, finishing at 7.48 (t7th) and 9.21 (3rd) and, respectively.
The Garnet finished strong in the 3,000-meter run paced by Robert Fain (8:59.67, 3rd), Dan Creem (9:00.66, 4th), Dan Kalamarides (9:02.47, 6th) and Alec Toro (9:37.40, 13th).
Zach Kronstat soared 1.89 meters in the long jump to finish fourth overall and totaled 12.49 meters in the triple jump for fifth place.
In the relays, the Garnet showcased its season-best 4x400-meter time of 3:38.80 (4th) paced by Matthew Heck, Josh Gregory, Heo and Richard Scott. The 4x200-relay finished in 1:37.00 (4th) behind Heck, Gregory, Heo and Gavin Fahey.
Swarthmore will make final adjustments at practice this coming week with the conference championships beginning February 22nd at Ursinus College.
