COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Senior Eric Verhasselt compiled 2,067 points at the Ursinus Pentathlon on Wednesday for ninth place overall.

Verhasselt claimed his best finish on the day with a 3:01.36 1000-meter run pace the fourth-best mark in the event.

In the shot put event he finished with a 28 foot and 3.75 inch toss and for the high jump Verhasselt finished leaped four feet and 11.50 inches.

Rounding out the pentathlon, Verhasselt finished at 11.36 in the 60-meter hurdles and compiled an even 15-foot long jump.

Verhasselt and the rest of the Garnet men's track and field team will return to competition at the McElliott Invitational at Haverford College on February 2, 2013 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
