LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Gavin Rigby was named the Centennial Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
Rigby pitched the final four innings of game two of a doubleheader against No. 4 Johns Hopkins. He earned his first collegiate win, holding the Blue Jays scoreless and allowing just three hits. He struck out four and walked none and kept the game tied at 4-4 before
Aidan Sullivan blasted a go-ahead grand slam in the eighth. The Garnet's sweep was the first suffered by the Blue Jays since 2022 as Swarthmore snapped a seven-game skid in the series.
The Garnet are back in action on Tuesday when they host Haverford College.
