Haverford completed its onslaught in the third, posting two more runs on a wild pitch and an error.
- Kittredge put Swarthmore on the board in the fourth with a two-run blast to left, his second of the season. However, the Garnet were held scoreless over the next two innings and the score remained 9-2.
- Swarthmore threatened to get back in it in the seventh.
Aidan Sullivan and
Zac Kahn both reached on walks before Johnston plated Sullivan with a double. Peterson was then hit by a pitch to load the bases with one out but the Fords notched back-to-back strikeouts to get out of the inning with a 9-3 advantage.
