LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Eddie Paquette and
Zander Jimenez both received honorable mention recognition on the All-Centennial Men's Basketball Team, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
It is Paquette's first career All-Centennial honor and the second in a row for Jimenez, who was a second team honoree and the Centennial Rookie of the Year a season ago. In addition,
Cal Hanson was the Garnet's representative on the Centennial All-Sportsmanship Team.
Paquette led the Garnet in scoring with 15.0 points per game. He shot 44.0 percent from the field and made a team-high 44 three-pointers. Paquette was first on the squad in steals (28), second in rebounding (5.8 rpg), and third in assists (48). The senior scored in double figures in 23 of his 26 games, netting a season-high 23 points on two occasions. Paquette recorded his 1,000
th career point on January 17 at McDaniel, becoming the 30
th Swarthmore player to reach the mark.
Jimenez was limited to 18 games due to injury but finished second behind Paquette with 12.7 points per contest. He led the Garnet with 15.2 points per game in conference matchups. The sophomore achieved double digits 10 times, producing a season-high 28 points on January 21 at Washington.
Swarthmore closed the year with a 13-13 record and qualified for the Centennial Conference Tournament.
