GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Swarthmore College baseball team earned its first national ranking since the 2018 season, breaking into the American Baseball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll at No. 25 this week.
The Garnet are off to a hot start this season, sitting at 14-3 overall. Swarthmore has won eight in a row and 14 of its last 15 contests. The squad ranks first in Division III in on base percentage (.499), sixth in runs per game (11.5), seventh in batting average (.350), eighth in slugging percentage (.559), 11
th in walks (126), 12
th in doubles per game (2.65), and 24
th in home runs per game (1.18).
Leor Kedar leads the team with a .565 batting average, which is second-best in the nation. He is first in the country in slugging (1.161), fourth in homers (8), and sixth in on base percentage (.622).
Aidan Sullivan sits 13
th in batting average (.500) and 16
th in on base percentage (.609).
Aidan Tinker leads the Garnet pitching staff with a 4-0 record and a 3.20 earned run average.
Noah Potholm is tops on the squad with 27.1 innings pitched and 22 strikeouts.
Swarthmore has a top-25 battle at home on Wednesday versus No. 13 Rowan University.
