No. 15 Women’s Swimming Builds on Success at CC Championships Day Two

LANCASTER, Pa. - The No. 15 Swarthmore College women's swimming team had another successful day at the Centennial Championships on Friday night. The team totaled three gold medals with two silvers.

Quinn Weygandt made history, becoming the second swimmer in conference history to claim gold in the 200 IM for the fourth-straight year. The senior also set one of the team's three Centennial Conference records of the evening.

Genine Collins toppled a Centennial Conference record, winning her third-straight gold in the 50 freestyle. The junior is the first swimmer to achieve three golds in the event in over a decade. Elle Anthony placed second in the event for the third-straight season, medaling in the event all four years of her career.

The 400 medley relay was responsible for the team's third conference record, wrapping up the night with a gold medal finish. Collins and Anthony were members of the relay, capturing their second medals of the night.

The Garnet strengthened their grip on first place in the points standings with 291. Gettysburg follows in second with 229, while Johns Hopkins has 225.5 points.
