LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College's
Quinn Weygandt was chosen the Centennial Conference Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the first time this season on Tuesday by the conference office.
Weygandt paced Swarthmore with three individual wins and a relay victory to lead the Garnet past 18th-ranked Gettysburg, 206-109, on Saturday. The senior triumphed in the 200 IM (2:03.99), 400 IM (4:20.85) and 200 butterfly (2:03.74), while also contributing to the first-place 400 freestyle relay (3:26.76). Weygandt set a Ware Pool record with her victory in the 400 IM. All three individual winning times were NCAA B Cuts and rank among the top 15 in the nation, led by her 400 IM time that is ranked second. The Garnet wrapped up an undefeated regular season for the fifth-straight season, winning 48-straight head-to-head matchups.
Swarthmore competes in the Centennial Championships on February 19-22.
