Women’s Swimming Opens Season at No. 10 in CSCAA Rankings

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College women's swimming team will open its season at No. 10 in the CSCAA national rankings for the preseason, announced on Friday afternoon.

Last season, the Garnet captured its fifth-straight Centennial Conference Championship as they edged out No. 17 Johns Hopkins University. The women recorded their fifth-straight undefeated season, going 9-0 in head-to-head matchups to extend its streak to 48-straight victories.

The women also experienced a great deal of national success, finishing 11th overall at the NCAA National Championships for the third-highest finish in program and conference history. Genine Collins headlines the list of Garnet returners, posting six All-American swims at last season's national meet to expand her career total to 15 accolades.

The Garnet open their season against Franklin & Marshall, Ursinus and Dickinson on October 24.
