NEW ORLEANS – The Swarthmore College men's track & field team earned All-Academic status from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association this week. In addition, three athletes were recognized for their individual success.
Colin DeLaney,
Matthew Gutow, and
Kenneth Relovsky were named All-Academic Athletes for the Garnet. It is the first career honor for all three runners. Relovsky also garnered All-Academic distinction during the cross country season.
The Garnet received team recognition for posting a cumulative GPA of at least 3.10. Swarthmore boasts a figure of 3.55 through the 2024-25 academic year. To earn All-Academic Athlete honors, individuals must compile a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 while also finishing the season among the top 50 individuals in an event or have competed on one of the top 35 relay teams.
DeLaney, Gutow, and Relovsky all competed on Swarthmore's top distance medley relay during the indoor campaign to be eligible for the award, winning gold at the Centennial Championships.
