Women’s Swimming Finishes Tenth Overall at NCAAs, Adds Four All-Americans

GREENSBORO, NC - The No. 12 Swarthmore College women's swimming team added an All-American second-team swim in the 400 freestyle relay to close out the NCAA National Championships on Saturday night. 

The Garnet finished tenth overall in the team standings with 24 All-American honors. This marks their second consecutive top-10 finish, after placing ninth in 2024. Swarthmore remains the only program in conference history to secure a top-10 finish at the national championships.

The team of Elle Anthony, Genine Collins, Lauren Rohde and Quinn Weygandt placed ninth overall with a first-place effort in the consolation final. The quartet set a new Centennial Conference record in the event, while Anthony overtook the 100 freestyle record on the opening leg. The Garnet captured all-american status in the event for the second-straight season. 

Anthony, Weygandt, and Collins each leave the championships with five additional All-American accolades. Anthony was part of all five All-American relays, helping the Garnet go five-for-five in relay events. The junior boosted her career total to 11. Weygandt raised her career total to eight, while Collins earned her tenth. Rohde concluded her career with two All-American honors, which she earned on Friday and Saturday.

With the conclusion of tonight's championships, Rohde, Erin Szuromi, Sophie Rotival, and Annaliese Chen wrap up their Swarthmore careers with four consecutive Centennial Conference Championships and a total of 15 All-American accolades.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 400 freestyle relay team of Anthony, Collins, Rohde, and Weygandt won the consolation final with a conference record of 3:24.79. Anthony kicked things off with a record-setting 50.78 on the opening leg, setting the Garnet up for success. Swarthmore moved up one spot in the finals, improving from tenth place in the morning session.

- Anthony and Collins both competed in the 100 freestyle prelims. Anthony led the way with a time of 51.08 to place 24th, while Collins touched at 51.88 to grab 47th.
