Women’s Swimming Earns Five All-American Swimmers, Weygandt Claims First-Team Distinction

GREENSBORO, NC - The No. 12 Swarthmore College women's swimming team earned five All-American honors on the second day of the NCAA National Championships. The women have now accumulated a total of 11 All-American accolades halfway through the championships.

Quinn Weygandt continued to build on her legacy in the 400 IM with a second consecutive top-five finish at the national championships. The junior secured her third All-American finish in the event, bringing her career total to five. Weygandt also earned her second All-American honor of this year's championships, following a second-team distinction in the 200 IM on Wednesday night.

The women wrapped up night two with a second-team finish in the 200 freestyle relay. Genine Collins earned her third All-American honor of the season and the eighth of her career, while Elle Anthony secured her eighth, Sophie Rotival her seventh, and Ainsley Jane Tambling her third. The same group earned first-team status with a bronze finish in 2024. Swarthmore's 200 freestyle relay team is the first in conference history to earn back-to-back All-American honors with the same four members in any relay event.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Weygandt set a new conference record with a fourth-place finish in the 400 IM, posting a time of 4:20.51 and shaving a full second off her previous best. The junior earned her third consecutive All-American distinction in the event and her second straight first-team honor, after finishing fifth in the event last season. Earlier in the morning session, Weygandt matched her previous program record with a sixth-place finish. - Lauren Rohde finished 21st overall in the 400 IM prelims with a time of 4:28.49. The senior placed five spots shy of qualifying for the consolation heat and was just four-tenths of a second off her lifetime best.

- Annaliese Chen competed in the 100 butterfly prelims, finishing with a time of 56.50. The senior placed 34th overall, marking her second-fastest time in the event.
