LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's indoor track & field team completed competition at the Centennial Championships on Sunday at Franklin and Marshall College. The Garnet took eighth place in the meet with 47 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Theo Teszler provided the highlight of the day for the Garnet, reaching the podium in the 400 meters with a third-place finish. The rookie ran a time of 50.02. Teszler is the first Swarthmore athlete to medal in the event since 2012. He also came in 10
th (22.98) in the 200 meters, missing out on the scoring by just 0.15 seconds.

Charlie Schuetz and
Colin DeLaney combined for seven points by taking fifth (8:41.64) and sixth (8:43.68) place respectively in the 3000 meters. In an unfortunate moment, DeLaney was the leader with just over 10 laps to go when he inadvertently collided with a spectator who wandered onto the track.

Quentin Adolphe and
Noah St. George picked up four points with sixth (6' 0.75", 1.85m) and eighth (5' 8.75", 1.75m) place finishes respectively in the high jump. It was a personal best for Adolphe who also came in 11
th (19' 9", 6.02m) in the long jump.

Kenneth Relovsky ran the mile in 4:18.43 for sixth place. The 4x400 meter relay of Adolphe,
Owen Lord, Relovsky, and Teszler also came in sixth (3:31.03).

Alan Nichols compiled 3291 points to come in sixth in the heptathlon. He was the winner of the 60 meters segment (7.26) and posted personal records in the 60, shot put (30' 8.25", 9.35m), and 1000 meters (3:16.83).
