SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The No. 16 Swarthmore College women's swimming team produced a strong showing against top national competition while also picking up a conference win over a busy weekend in the pool.
The Garnet finished fifth as a team at the D3 Shootout held at the University of Chicago on Friday and Saturday. Taking on a field that featured six other nationally-ranked squads, Swarthmore produced multiple victories and several all-time top-10 swims. Meanwhile, the Garnet earned a 188-68 Centennial Conference triumph at Washington College.
D3 SHOOTOUT

Quinn Weygandt had a standout performance for Swarthmore, garnering a pair of individual victories. The senior won the 400 IM with a NCAA B-cut time of 4:22.74. Weygandt also eclipsed the B-cut in winning the 200 fly (2:04.67).

Genine Collins also had a stellar meet, picking up an individual win and a runner-up finish. She touched first in the 50 free with a NCAA B-cut time of 23.02, which also was a meet record. The junior later came in second (50.92) in the 100 free, her time surpassing the B-cut and ranking second all-time in program history.
- The 400 medley relay of
Maya Ambardekar,
Elle Anthony,
Norah Rutkowski, and Collins claimed victory with a B-cut time of 3:48.12, which ranks sixth all-time at Swarthmore. The same four swimmers competed in the 200 medley relay, surpassing the B-cut and coming in second (1:43.75). It was the fourth-best time for the program.
- Rutkowski was the runner-up in the 200 breast with a time of 2:20.83, which sits second all-time for the Garnet.

- Swarthmore swept the podium in the 50 free with
Ainsley Jane Tambling (25.03),
Marin Norlander (25.18), and
Sam Packard (25.28). Tambling also won the 50 fly (26.78) with a pool record while
Sophia Caceres followed in second (27.88). Norlander took the victory in the 50 back (27.65), swimming a pool record, and
Zoe Chung touched second (28.24).
- The Garnet finished 1-2-3 in the 200 IM with Packard bringing home the win (2:13.17) followed by
Cindy Wang (2:14.24) and
Madeline Fox (2:19.63). Packard and Wang also took first (1:00.60) and second (1:01.90) in the 100 IM. Packard's time was a pool record. Wang was a winner in the 50 breast (31.86) and
Annabelle Hoover came in second place (32.52). Fox (2:01.16) and
Emerson Schneider (2:03.53) were the top two finishers in the 200 free.
- The 200 medley relay of Chung, Hoover,
Margaret Sawa, and Tambling came in first place with a time of 1:50.96. Sawa earned an individual win in the 100 free (55.00) with Norlander touching second (55.85). Sawa was also second (59.89) in the 100 fly with Caceres in third (1:00.48). Chung and
Elizabeth Turner went 1-2 in the 100 back with respective times of 1:00.65 and 1:02.91.
- The Garnet took the top two spots in the 200 free relay. The team of Sawa, Tambling, Norlander, and Packard came in at a pool-record 1:39.85. The quartet of Fox, Schneider, Turner, and
Sophia Ulvestad followed in 1:43.76. Hoover won the 100 breast in 1:10.36 with Ulvestad coming in third (1:13.57). Schneider and
Millie Grieve placed second (11:25.43) and third (11:42.66) respectively in the 1000 free.
