FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Swarthmore College men's tennis team continued play at the ITA Regional Tournament on Friday at the University of Mary Washington.

In championship singles, Max Lindstrom and Michael Melnikov both advanced to the quarterfinals with a pair of victories. With his two successes, Lindstrom became the 11th player in program history to reach 100 career wins.

Two Garnet duos remain alive in the championship doubles competition with Nikola Galov/Nicholas Choo and Kai Chen/Andres Fente reaching the Round of 16.

- In the opening round of championship doubles, Galov/Choo dispatched the team from Hampden-Sydney College, 8-4. The duo then upset the ninth-seeded pair from Haverford College, 8-5, to move on to the Round of 16. Galov/Choo will take on the fifth seed Carnegie Mellon.

- After receiving a bye to the Round of 32, the ninth-seeded pair of Chen/Fente rolled to an 8-1 victory versus Franklin and Marshall College. They will battle Mary Washington in the Round of 16.

- Chen dropped his Round of 32 singles match to the ninth seed from Carnegie Mellon, 6-3, 3-6, 0-1 (6-10).
