INDIANAPOLIS – Swarthmore College men's tennis student-athlete
Michael Melnikov has been awarded a $10,000 postgraduate scholarship as part of the 2025-26 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship program.
Melnikov was one of just 42 student-athletes representing spring sports across all three NCAA divisions to receive the honor. The recipients have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements, athletic excellence, and leadership within their communities.
Each year, the NCAA awards up to 126 postgraduate scholarships to student-athletes who have completed their final year of athletics competition. The scholarships are distributed three times annually — in the fall, winter and spring — providing 21 scholarships each to men and women per season. The award is a one-time, nonrenewable scholarship intended to support graduate study at an accredited institution.
Melnikov was the national runner-up at this year's NCAA Singles Championship and finished his career as a seven-time All-American across singles and doubles. The four-time Centennial Conference Player of the Year was also a two-time First Team Academic All-American.
