Box Score 3 SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's tennis team began the season with its Swarthmore Invitational over the weekend.
The Garnet took on opponents from Haverford College, Vassar College, and Stevens Institute of Technology. Swarthmore went a dominant 36-8 for the tournament, including 27-3 in singles competition.
Fate MacAlasdair,
Rohan Mishra, and
Rishi Verma led the Garnet, each posting a 3-0 record. MacAlasdair and Verma also went unbeaten in doubles play.
SWARTHMORE VS. HAVERFORD
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore won 11 of the 13 singles matches against the Fords. The two sides split the six doubles battles.
Cameron Samek, Mishra, and Verma each recorded a pair of victories.
SWARTHMORE VS. STEVENS
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Garnet went 7-1 versus the Ducks in singles and took three of the four doubles matches.
Nicholas Choo and MacAlasdair both went 2-0.
SWARTHMORE VS. VASSAR
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Swarthmore won all nine singles matchups against the Brewers and went 3-1 in doubles.
Aadhi Raja and Verma earned a win in both singles and doubles action.

The Garnet compete in the ITA Regional Tournament from October 1-4.
