SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's tennis team opened its season with a 7-0 blanking of Wilkes University on Friday.
The Garnet won all nine matches with six different players earning a victory, five of them doing so in their first collegiate action.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Connor Chun and
Rohan Mishra teamed up for a 6-0 triumph at third doubles in their Swarthmore debut.
Haozhe Jiang and
Francis Thoresen also rolled to a win at the second spot in their first collegiate match, earning a 6-2 result.
Akshay Kommineni donned a Garnet uniform for the first time and partnered with
Fate MacAlasdair for a 6-2 victory at first doubles.
- Chun, Thoresen, Kommineni, and Jiang all impressed in their respective singles matches, cruising to matching 6-0, 6-0 decisions at third through sixth singles.
- Mishra was also dominant in his bout at second singles, conceding just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win. MacAlasdair had little trouble versus his opponent at the top flight, producing a 6-2, 6-1 triumph.
