PHILADELPHIA – Theo Teszler set a new school record in the 400 meters to lead the Swarthmore College men's indoor track & field team at the Widener Winter Evening Invite on Friday night. The meet was held at the University of Pennsylvania's Ott Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Teszler placed third in the 400 with a program-record time of 49.72, besting the previous mark of 49.77 by Matt Heck in 2012. The first-year joins his sister, Rose Teszler '23, as a current Swarthmore record-holder.

Kenneth Relovsky was the runner-up in the mile, running a personal-best 4:18.59. He surpassed his previous top time by more than four seconds.
Joshua Leinwand and
Luka Opacic-Rodrigues also competed in the mile, placing 21
st (4:32.94) and 23
rd (4:33.82) respectively.

Colin DeLaney ran the 3000 meters in 8:42.91 for fifth place.
Robert Mirabello took 17
th (8:55.79) in the event while
Spencer Etheridge posted a personal-record 8:57.18 for 20
th place.
