COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Sam Brody was the winner in the 5000 meters as the Swarthmore College men's track & field team began competition at the Ursinus College Festival on Friday.
 
Brody and Charlie Schuetz took the top two spots in the event to highlight the evening. The Garnet posted seven top-10 performances overall on the day.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brody recorded a winning time of 15:15.83 followed by Schuetz in 15:42.81. Cohen Manges also had a top-five finish, coming in fourth place (15:55.33).
 
- Aidan Tomov and Colin DeLaney had strong showings in the 1500 meters, crossing third (4:03.08) and sixth (4:07.39) respectively.
 
- Quentin Adolphe registered a distance of 20' 2.25" (6.15m) to take fifth in the long jump. Rodrigo Carvajal tied for eighth in the high jump with a height of 5' 3" (1.60m).
