CARLISLE, Pa. – Benjamin Garcia Moreira claimed the individual title to lead the Swarthmore College men's golf team to its second straight tournament win, and fourth of the season, as the Garnet repeated as champions of the Dickinson Spring Invitational on Sunday at Carlisle Barracks Golf Club.
Swarthmore posted a team score of 290 (+2) for the victory, winning the tourney by eight strokes. The Garnet are playing their best golf of the campaign as their three lowest team scores of the season have come in their last three rounds played. All six golfers that competed on Sunday placed inside the top 15.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Garcia Moreira shot a two-under-par 70 to finish in a tie at the top of the leaderboard but was declared the victor via a match of cards. The score was the best of the season for the rookie. Garcia Moreira posted four birdies during the round.

Max Ash,
Dylan Zhang, and
Neil Zhu all shot a 73 (+1) to tie for sixth place. Zhang produced four birdies, tied with Garcia Moreira for the most on the squad. Ash and Zhu each had three birdies.

Yuxuan Wang tied for 10
th place with a two-over 74 while
Andy Xin carded a 76 (+4) and tied for 14
th. Wang totaled three birdies and Xin had one.
CHON COMPETES AT MAC PREVIEW

Ava Chon represented the Garnet at the MAC Preview Tournament hosted by Albright College on Saturday. She placed 15th with a score of 89.
