STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Dylan Zhang captured the individual title in a playoff to lead the Swarthmore College men's golf team to a third-place finish at The Pennsylvania Classic on Saturday.
The Garnet totaled 295 on the day to finish with a two-round score of 588. Swarthmore had three players place in the top 10 and five finish in the top 15.
Zhang carded a 71 on Saturday to close with a two-day score of 142. He tied for first with a golfer from Franklin and Marshall College and proceeded to win a one-hole playoff for the individual crown.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zhang tallied five birdies during the round, including on his final hole to force his way into the playoff. He finished one-under par for the tournament.

Yuxuan Wang took sixth place after a 70 in the second round. He also produced five birdies on the afternoon.
- After a season-best round on Friday,
Benjamin Garcia Moreira scored a 77 in round two and finished in 10
th place. He competed as an individual and did not factor into the team score.

Andy Xin and
Neil Zhu were separated by just one stroke for the tournament and were tied for 12
th and tied for 15
th respectively. Xin carded a 79 on Saturday to close with a 150 while Zhu scored 75 to bring his total to 151.

Max Ash wrapped up his round with an 84 and tied for 40
th place.
