200 Freestyle Relay Produces Historical Swim as Women's Swimming Adds Three More All-America Awards at NCAA Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Swarthmore College women's swimming team made history while picking up a trio of All-America accolades on the second day of the NCAA Division III Championships on Thursday.

The Garnet's 200 freestyle relay of Genine Collins, Ainsley Jane Tambling, Sophie Rotival, and Elle Anthony took the bronze medal, becoming the highest-placing women's relay in Centennial Conference history. The previous best was eighth by the Ursinus College 200 freestyle relay at the 2019 national championships. Swarthmore's time of 1:32.99 also broke the school and conference records.

Quinn Weygandt finished fifth in the 400 individual medley to earn All-America First Team honors. She improved upon her 13th-place standing from a year ago when she was on the All-America Second Team.

The 400 medley relay of Erin Szuromi, Rotival, Collins, and Anthony won the consolation final and took ninth overall for All-America Second Team accolades. Their time of 3:45.75 set a new program and conference record.

After two days, the Garnet are in ninth place in the team standings with 82 points.
