Men’s Track & Field Competes at Frank Colden Invitational

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's track & field team put together several top-five finishes in a strong showing at the Ursinus College Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday.

Aiden Tomov headlined the meet with a runner-up finish in the 800m run, while Gabriel Hines placed top-three in the pole vault and qualified for the 60m dash finals. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tomov placed as the runner-up in the 800m run with a season-best 1:57.95 mark. Isaac Chu earned a top-10 finish with a time of 2:03.81. 

- Hines took third in the pole vault with a top height of 3.95m. He also qualified for the 60m dash finals with a time of 7.24. 

- Harrison Kim finished just outside of the podium with a fourth place effort in the 5000m run. The senior clocked a time of 16:19.60, while Andrew Cheng followed in sixth with a 16:28.07 effort. 

- Jay van Adrichem Boogaert crossed the finish line sixth at 4:47.35 in the mile, while Joey Alander placed ninth overall at 9:20.25 in the 3000m run.

- Bastiaan Phair took fifth in the pentathlon with 2713 points. The senior won the shot put with a top throw of 11.58m, while placing third in the high jump at 1.73m.
