LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's swimming team competed in the Franklin and Marshall Winter Invitational over the weekend.
The Garnet came in sixth place and produced several strong swims over the three-day meet. Swarthmore had three program top-10 performances as well as numerous season and career bests.
Cami Wilson and the Garnet's 400 freestyle relay provided the top highlights of the weekend. Wilson set a new school and conference record in the 100 IM, his second broken mark of the season after he surpassed the standard in the 100 butterfly earlier this year. Wilson also joined
Danny Castle,
Levi Tipton, and
Cole Griscavage to win the 400 free relay.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 400 free relay of Castle, Wilson, Tipton, and Griscavage recorded the lone Swarthmore victory of the weekend but did so with the fourth-best time in program history (3:02.49).
- Wilson posted a program and Centennial-best time of 50.75 for a runner-up finish in the 100 IM. He also placed third in the 100 free, clocking in at a season-best 45.85.

Theodore Kim made three A-finals on the weekend. He swam a season-best 16:38.38 to come in fifth place in the 1650 free. He took sixth (4:48.91) in the 500 free and also had an eighth-place finish (2:05.94) in the 200 backstroke.

Dylan Ling touched the wall fourth in the 100 butterfly with a season-best time of 50.68. A pair of Garnet relays placed sixth. The 200 medley relay of
Matvey Ivanov, Ling,
Jake Zarak, and
Andrew Hendrickson swam 1:34.05 while the 800 free relay of
Mateo Smith,
Luke Magnuson, Ivanov, and
Sam Peterson registered a time of 7:07.49.
- The 200 free relay of Zarak, Magnuson,
Damian Rene, and
Omar Ebied finished seventh in 1:25.34.
Ham Williams-Tracy and Griscavage both recorded an individual seventh-place finish in the 200 fly (1:54.63) and 100 free (46.27) respectively.
