LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's track & field team competed at the Coach I Invitational hosted by Franklin and Marshall College on Saturday.
Colin DeLaney was victorious in the mile run to lead the Garnet. Swarthmore also received runner-up placements from
Eoin Quinn (high jump) and
Isaac Chu (mile).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- DeLaney and Chu finished 1-2 in the mile with respective times of 4:27.39 and 4:31.24. Chu edged out the third-place finisher by just 0.25 seconds.
Sam Brody (4:32.86) and
Robert Mirabello (4:38.75) also represented the Garnet well in the mile, taking fifth and sixth respectively. Mirabello's time is a career best.
- Quinn took second in the high jump with a height of 5' 8.75" (1.75m) and he was also third in the triple jump (39' 1.75", 11.93m).

Bastiaan Phair earned three top-six finishes at the meet. He placed third in the 60 meter hurdles (10.37), fifth in the high jump (5' 3", 1.60m), and sixth in the long jump (16' 4.5", 4.99m). His time in the 60 meter hurdles is a career best.

Cohen Manges crossed the line third in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:01.67.
Rodrigo Carvajal was one of three Garnet athletes to place in the top five of the high jump, coming in fourth place (5' 3", 1.60m).
