HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's cross country team finished third at Haverford College's Main Line Invitational on Friday.
Colin DeLaney was the top runner for the Garnet, completing the four-mile course in 20:42.1 for 22
nd place.
Cohen Manges and
Sam Brody also came in the top 30, placing 25
th (20:44.9) and 27
th (20:55.6) respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- DeLaney posted a career-best pace with an average mile of 5:10.6. It was also his highest finish at this meet.
- Manges was the top Division III rookie in the race and his pace (5:11.3) was 25 seconds ahead of what it was in the season opener.
- Brody was less than a second off his career-best pace, averaging 5:13.9 per mile.

Harrison Kim and
Ben Rosin finished within three seconds of each other, taking 34
th (21:07.8) and 36
th (21:10.2) respectively.
- Rookies
Matthew Fleming (44
th – 21:29.6) and
Joey Alander (49
th – 21:39.8) rounded out the Garnet's scorers.
