LANCASTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's track & field team opened the 2023-24 indoor campaign on Friday at the Diplomat Open hosted by Franklin and Marshall College.
Kenneth Relovsky had the top performance for the Garnet, winning the mile run with a time of 4:33.96.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Relovsky's winning run came in his indoor collegiate debut. He edged fellow rookie
Charlie Schuetz by just one second as Schuetz clocked in at 4:34.96 for an impressive second place in his first race.

Rishi Tella was the runner-up in the long jump, recording a distance of 20' 10.75" (6.37m). He was the leader for the majority of the competition but was knocked down to second on the victor's final attempt.

Quentin Adolphe had a solid showing at the meet, posting three top-10 finishes. He placed third in the high jump with a height of 5' 10.75" (1.80m) and he was fourth in the long jump at 20' 3.75" (6.19m). Adolphe also came in seventh overall in the 200 meters, winning his heat with a time of 23.76.
- On the track,
Matthew Gutow was the third-place finisher in the 400 meters. He produced a time of 52.44.
Cohen Manges took fifth in the 5000 meters (15:33.33) with
Robert Mirabello following in ninth (16:07.77).
Andrew Cheng ran the mile in 4:39.90 which was good for seventh place.

Eoin Quinn produced a pair of top-10 finishes in the jumps. He placed fifth in the triple jump (41' 3.25", 12.58m) and 10
th in the high jump (5' 9", 1.75m).
