Manges Qualifies for NCAA Championships, Four Garnet Men Garner All-Region Status

GLASSBORO, NJ - Swarthmore College men's cross country rookie Cohen Manges qualified for the NCAA Championships as he headlined four all-region selections for the Garnet at the Metro Regionals on Saturday morning. 

Swarthmore placed sixth overall out of 25 teams at the regionals. The Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year placed fifth overall with a personal record to lead the Garnet. Sam Brody, Colin DeLaney and Ben Rosin also garnered all-region selections for Swarthmore as the team placed four runners in the top-35. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Manges crossed the finish line at 24:59.1 to take eight seconds off his previous personal record. The first-year placed fifth overall to punch his ticket to the NCAA Championships. 

- Brody recorded his highest finish ever at the regionals with a 20th place effort. The senior set a new personal record with a time of 25:37.6 to garner his second-career all-region selection. 

- DeLaney and Rosin ran 32nd and 33rd overall to round out four all-region selections for the Garnet. DeLaney crossed the finish line at 25:47.1, while Rosin followed with a time of 25:47.2. Rosin set a new personal record with his finish. 

- Kenneth Relovsky placed 43rd overall with a time of 26:08.3 to set a new personal record. The first-year took over 10 seconds off his previous-best mark at the Rowan Border Battle. 

- Harrison Kim finished 48th overall with a time of 26:20.6, while Matthew Fleming followed with a 50th place effort. Fleming narrowly missed out on a personal record with a 26:23.8 mark.

Manges will represent the Garnet at the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 18 in Carlisle, Pa.
