WAYNESBORO, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men's golf team sits in seventh place out of 19 teams after the opening round of the Mason-Dixon Collegiate on Saturday.
The Garnet posted a team score of 300 (+12) and are just three strokes back of a four-way tie for first.
Benjamin Garcia Moreira led Swarthmore with an even par 72, his best score of the season. He is in a four-way tie for seventh place, two strokes off the lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Garcia Moreira recorded six birdies on the day and finished at even par.

Dylan Zhang,
Max Ash, and
Neil Zhu all carded a 76 (+4) and are in a tie for 30
th. Ash posted five birdies while Zhang and Zhu each had four.

Yuxuan Wang registered two birdies for the round and finished with a 78 (+6). He is tied for 54
th place.
