WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Swarthmore College men's cross country team finished in fourth place at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by McDaniel College on Saturday.
The Garnet had three runners finish in the top 20, led by rookie
Cohen Manges, whose 11
th-place finish earned him All-Centennial Second Team honors. It is the third straight year that Swarthmore has boasted an All-Centennial runner.
Colin DeLaney and
Ben Rosin came in 16
th and 20
th place respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Manges was the top rookie in the meet, crossing in a time of 26:42.1. He was on pace with the leaders at the one-mile mark before sliding back through the remainder of the 8K race.
- DeLaney and Rosin had times of 27:12.6 and 27:27.5 respectively. DeLaney was 11 seconds behind the #14 runner and the last All-Centennial spot.

Harrison Kim came in 22
nd place with a time of 27:30.3. DeLaney, Rosin, and Kim all earned their best career placement at the Centennial Championships.

Matthew Fleming took 24
th (27:43.3) in his first conference championship meet.
Sam Brody and
Isaac Chu were shortly behind in 26
th (27:45.0) and 27
th (27:45.2) respectively to round out the top seven for the Garnet.
