FLEETWOOD, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's golf team placed seventh overall out of 12 teams at the Golden Oaks Shootout on Monday. The Garnet carded a 309 for the second round to finish with a tournament score of 616.

Yuxuan Wang finished strong in his first collegiate tournament with another 73 (+1) in the second round. The first-year placed inside the top-five and finished two-over-par for the tournament. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wang shot one-over-par for the second-straight day to place fifth overall. The first-year finished with a two-round score of 146 with a pair of 71s on his scorecard. 

- Alex Cheriel carded an 81 (+10) to end the tournament. The senior finished with a two-round score of 156 to tie for 30th overall. 

- Ben Lee rounded out the team's scorers with an 84 (+12) to tie for 49th overall. He finished with a two-round total of 167 after shooting an 83 (+11) to open the tournament.

- Max Ash shot one-under par on the day with a 71 in his only round of play. The first-year set a new single-round personal best in his young career. He did not compete in the first round of the tournament. 

- Ava Chon competed on the women's side. The sophomore bounced back with an 84 in the second round to take 10 strokes off her opening round total.
