Vinny DeAngelo was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for men's basketball, as announced Tuesday, Jan. 10th.
DeAngelo had a monster week for the Garnet, helping Swarthmore improve to 11-1 on the season with wins over Centennial rivals McDaniel College and Franklin & Marshall College. He averaged 27.5 points, 6 rebounds and four assists across the two contests, including career-high marks of 33 points and 11 rebounds for the Pennsylvania native's first career double-double against F&M.
DeAngelo has proved pivotal in the Swarthmore's dominant season, with his play helping the Garnet to an 8-0 undefeated streak (having not lost a game since the middle of November), as well as a spot as the No. 17th ranked team nationally.
DeAngelo and men's basketball return to the court on Tuesday, Jan.10th at 8:00 p.m., when they will host No. 11 Johns Hopkins University.
