Nevins Tabbed Third Team All-America

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Harry Nevins of Swarthmore College Men's Soccer earned 2021 All-America honors, announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Thursday.

Nevins was named to the 2021 United Soccer Coaches All-America Third Team and is the only student-athlete from the Centennial Conference to receive the national honors. A native of London, England, Nevins is the first Swarthmore Men's Soccer player to receive All-America honors since Peter Maxted in 2012. Nevins joins the ranks of Maxted, Jefferey Kushner (2008), Morgan Langley (2010), and Micah Rose (2010 & 2011) to earn All-America accolades under the guidance of Eric Wagner.

Nevins, a 2021 First Team All-Centennial honoree, led the Garnet with five goals and was second on the team with ten points. He was also named to the All-Region V First Team on Monday. The senior defender helped the Garnet defense to a 1.01 goals against average, which ranked them third in the Centennial. In a 3-1 non-conference victory over Eastern, Nevins tallied a pair of goals, including a penalty kick in the 89th minute. In 2019, Nevins received Second Team All-Centennial honors.

This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at the Kansas City Convention Center in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
