KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Senior Zac O'Dell earned a place on the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-America Third Team on Wednesday. The forward is the second player in program history, following Cam Wiley, to earn all-America honors from the NABC. O'Dell had previously earned all-America recognition from D3hoops.com as a third-teamer in 2019.
O'Dell, a chemistry major from Schenectady, N.Y., averaged 10.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks per game all while shooting 54.6 percent from the floor.
After averaging just 3.5 points per game his freshman year, O'Dell blossomed into the school's best all-around forwards. He will graduate first in career rebounds (884), second in blocks (205), and 12th in points (1,178).
O'Dell and the Garnet went the entire season ranked No. 1 and finished the season with a 28-1 record.
