CHESTER, Pa. - Swarthmore College Track & Field senior
Ryan Marrone took second place in the shot put at the Widener Invitational on Saturday.
Marrone threw the shot 14.35 meters (47 feet 1 inch). He also took seventh in the discus at 41.90m (137 feet 6 inches).
Senior
Robert Eppley finished eighth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.92 seconds, and senior
Benjamin Hejna got ninth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.60m (41 ft 4.25 in).
Junior
Vaughn Parts made a solo trip to the Larry Ellis Invite in Princeton, N.J., and ran the seventh-fastest 10K in school history. He completed the race in 32:12.17.
Next up for Swarthmore is a trip to Philadelphia for The Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday.
