MEDIA, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Cross Country opened the 2017 season at Rose Tree Park on Friday evening with the Bryn Mawr Invitational. 

The top three Garnet finishers crossed the finish line of the 5K race with a 5:50 mile pace. Mayan Agrawal returned to the team after a year abroad and led the way with a 18:07.5, Lucas Heinzerling posted a time of 18:08.0, and freshman Kevin Hudson ran in 18:08.4.

The next pack of Garnet harriers came in in a sub six-minute mile pace: Frank Kenny (18:28.5), William Colgan (18:28.8), Andrew Prior (18:29.2), and Vaughn Parts (18:29.5).

The Garnet host their on-campus alumni meet on Sept. 9 at noon.
