HAVERFORD, Pa.–
Daniel Belkin and
Benjamin Hejna had strong showings in the jump events as the Swarthmore College men's track and field team spent its Saturday competing at the Seamus McElligott Invitational hosted by Haverford College.
Belkin won the high jump with a personal-best mark of 1.87m while Hejna was second with a height of 1.82m. Belkin also finished the runner-up in the triple jump (12.83m), just ahead of Hejna (12.54m). In the long jump, Hejna was the top finisher, placing second with a distance of 6.20m as Belkin was fourth in 6.04m.
On the track,
Robert Eppley finished second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.32. In the 400-meter race,
Benjamin Warren placed fifth with a time of 53.08, just ahead of seventh-place finisher
Saadiq Garba.
Adil Belagaumi was the top finisher for Swarthmore in the 200-meter dash with an eight-place results (24.47).
The men's track and field team resumes competition next weekend at the Keogh Invite hosted by Haverford College.
