GETTYSBURG, Pa.—Fittingly, the battle of the two remaining unbeaten Centennial Conference men's swimming teams came down to the final race, the 400-yard freestyle relay. Swarthmore College Men's Swimming held a 123-122 lead going into the final event, but the host Gettysburg College Bullets took first and third in the final event to claim the dual meet 135-127.

Swarthmore finished in first place in the 200-yard medley relay, the 100 backstroke, the 200 butterfly, the 200 back, 200 breast, 100 fly and the 200 IM.

Liam Fitzstevens earned three of those victories, notching wins in the 200 back, fly and IM. His time of 1:59.42 in the 200 fly was a new personal best.

Jeffrey Tse dominated in the 100 back (51.82) and 200 breaststroke (2:08.36), winning each event by more than two seconds.

Andrew Steele won the 100 fly in 51.49 and had a personal best in the 100 breast (59.63), taking second in race after finishing 0.06 seconds off the lead.

In the deciding event, the 400 free relay, the Bullets top team won with a time of 3:06.96 while Swarthmore clocked in at 3:11.45.

The Garnet, 4-1 in conference dual meets, close out the dual meet season next Saturday at home against Dickinson.
