Sophomore
Peter Sayde won his heats in the 100 and 200-meter dash, clocking in at 11.40 seconds and 23.17 to finish seventh and 11th place overall, respectively. Classmate
Corey Branch also won his heat in the 800-meter race, placing eighth with a time of 2:00.19, while senior
Jonas Oppenheimer and sophomore
Stuart Arbuckle placed 11th and 12th, respectively, with times of 2:01.27 and 2:01.39. Senior
Jason Heo was 12th in the 400-meter hurdles after navigating the track in 58.66.
In addition,
Jerry Qin recently placed 12th in the decathlon at a non-scoring meet hosted by Kutztown on May 9-10. The sophomore accumulated 3,960 points.
The Garnet will next compete at the Widener Invitational in Chester, Pa. on Friday, April 17 at 3 p.m.
