Paul Green broke the school record in the mile to lead the Swarthmore College men's track & field team at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 14 at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
Green clocked in at 4:14.73, shattering the old indoor mark of 4:17.77 which teammate
Jonas Oppenheimer registered at Haverford on Jan. 25 of last year. Green's time also eclipsed the previous outdoor record of 4:15.5 which was recorded by Gil Kemp all the way back in 1970.

John Gagnon also represented Swarthmore at the prestigious meet in snowy Boston. White registered an ECAC qualifying time of 1:56.66 in the 800-meter run, while Gagnon completed the 5,000 in 16:19.94.
Swarthmore will next make the short trek to Haverford for the Keogh Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 21 for its final tuneup before the Centennial Conference Championships.
