Hayley Raymond scored a career-high 16 points to help lead the Swarthmore College women's basketball team to an 89-26 win over Bryn Mawr on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Tarble Pavilion.
After Swarthmore established control by scoring the first eight points, Bryn Mawr battled back and made it 16-10 when Veronica Roux nailed a jumper at the 13:19 mark. The Owls kept the deficit to single digits over the next few minutes, but the hosts caught fire and scored 14 unanswered to pull away. Freshmen

Raina Williams and
Melanie Ackerman combined to score the first 12 points during the run before Deckard capped the stretch with a layup to make it 34-12. A steal and a layup by Deckard put the Garnet up 48-14 at the break.
Swarthmore added to its lead throughout the second half and built up a 48-point advantage by getting a layup and a 3-pointer from Raymond. The lead grew to as many as 65 when Williams hit a jumper to make it 89-24 before Sanam Sheriff sealed the final outcome with a bucket at the other end.
Larsen netted a game-high 26 points by shooting 13-for-15 from the field to pace Swarthmore. She also grabbed six rebounds. Raymond and Williams each set career highs for points by scoring 16 and 12, respectively, and Ackerman also netted 12 by draining four shots from downtown. Junior
Jessica Jowdy dished out a career-high seven assists.
Bryn Mawr (1-16) was led by Sanam Sheriff, who contributed eight points off the bench along with three boards. Kara Breeden finished with two points and three assists.
Swarthmore (8-14) will play its final contest of the season at Tarble Pavilion against McDaniel on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. Seniors
