CHESTER, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Swimming won its non-conference meet against Widener College on Saturday, topping the Pride 155-107. The Garnet won six of the 13 individual meets and also won the 200-yard medley relay.
Liam Fitzstevens earned wins in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke with times of 52.98 and 1:54.85. Freshman
Michael Lutzker won both the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.71) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:58.09).
Jason Fu won the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:17.11, and
CJ Cling's time of 2:02.78 in the 200-yard individual medley put him in first.
Swarthmore placed both first and second in the 200-yard medley relay.
Charles Yang,
Alejandro Hernandez, Jeff Tse and
Andrew Steele combined for a first-place time of 1:36.59.
Ben Hsiung,
CJ Cling,
David Ranshous and Steve Sekula finished in 1:38.32.
The Garnet will be at home on Friday and Saturday hosting the Swat Invite.
